National Grid began spreading holiday cheer in the days leading up to Thanksgiving, when the company coordinated donations of turkeys and warm winter clothing across Western New York.

National Grid employees made their annual visit to the Samaritan Center in early December to decorate the dining area for the holidays as part of the company’s Season of Giving. The Samaritan Center was just one of numerous community organizations in Central New York supported by National Grid during the holiday season.

National Grid helped one Central New York resort implement a new energy-efficient snowmaking process in the fall of 2023 that reduced energy usage, saves money and is environmentally friendly. Greek Peak Mountain Resort in the town of Virgil, the largest ski resort in the Central New York region, installed new snow guns to cover its 55 trails and 220 skiable acres.

More than 1,500 National Grid employees will step away from their desks to volunteer with community organizations and schools as they celebrate the fourth anniversary of the company’s Project C initiative.
