Permitting and Participation
This project will be permitted under Part 102 of the Public Service Law.
On August 28, 2025, National Grid submitted a report containing project and construction details to New York’s Public Service Commission (PSC) for review. We will also need local approvals, a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), a review by the NY State Historic Preservation Office, and permits from the NY Departments of Environmental Conservation and Transportation, and US Army Corps of Engineers. Once a satisfactory review is complete and all other permits are approved, the project may begin construction. For more information about permitting, please see our Project FAQ page.
The permitting process includes opportunities for public involvement and comment from permitting through construction. To contact National Grid with a question or comment, you may reach us by phone at 844-324-3589 or [email protected].
